Big news for lovers of scary adventure stories: The Great Seattle Earthquake has been re-released in expanded ebook, paperback, and new audiobook versions! My rewrite includes ten percent more prose with action, adventure, and romance on every page.
As is typical for my natural disaster thrillers I weave into the plot several boy-girl and parent-kid relationships. These provide depth to what already is a terrifyingly real scenario. An addition, you’ll find scenes of people fleeing for their lives and first responders bravely trying to save those lives against terrible odds.
In rewriting, I have amplified the magnitude of the disaster because, frankly I believe my book should stand as a warning: the Seattle Fault is real, not fictional. It is packed with lethal pent-up power. It should be feared much more than it is now.
The Seattle Fault should be respected on a level at least as high as the San Andreas Fault running through San Francisco. But here, the jeopardy is double because the ragged edges of the fault not only run directly beneath the city, but also under Puget Sound. It has in the past unleashed colossal tsunami waves that swept our shores.
As the story points out, both of our major league sports stadiums sit squarely in the crosshairs of the tsunami zone. So, if you or yours attend a game or concert and a quake strikes, what should you do? How about this for starters: read my book beforehand.
In The Great Seattle Earthquake, I believe I am offering both a hair-raising adventure saga and a public service announcement about one of the overlooked realities of life in Seattle. Follow this LINK to a page which provides connections to all the major sellers of my novel.
Be prepared for a terrifyingly realistic read, and for an education about what that day of disaster would really be like.
